Fantasy football: Mohamed Salah, Harry Kane or Sergio Aguero – which forward will you choose for your fantasy football team?

The Premier League is slowly but surely making a return to our lives, which means it’s time to dive head-first into fantasy football.

But this season, picking your Dream Team line-up could be quite tricky, especially when it comes to choosing your forwards.

  • Dream Team is back and better than ever ahead of the new Premier League season
  • Completely free to play
  • £400k jackpot up for grabs across the season

SIGN UP NOW – It’s time to pick your fantasy football team for the new season

Because following their amazing goalscoring feats last season, both Mohamed Salah and Harry Kane are priced at a whopping £8.0m on the game this time out; making them each the most expensive players available.

Following up behind them is Man City’s main marksman Sergio Aguero, who’ll set you back £6.5m.

That means if you want to sign the top three best goalscorers in the Premier League last term, you’d have to fork out nearly half of your £50 million budget.

That’s madness.

Hopefully then, we can help you decide which of these three you should choose for your fantasy football line-up.

Mohamed Salah – 32 Premier League goals last season

The King

The undisputed king of fantasy football last season, Salah went from ‘Chelsea reject’ to ‘the Egyptian Messi’ in just over a year.

He netted 32 Premier League goals in his debut campaign for Liverpool, finishing up with a WhoScored rating of 7.69 – the third-best in the top flight.

As a result, his start of season price of £4.0m soared to £11.5m by the end of the campaign, while he’s doubled in price at the start of this season to the daunting sum of £8.0m.

Let’s hope he’s not just a one-season wonder then, eh?

That’s our only concern regarding Salah, with his first year back in England so overwhelmingly successful, the pressure is on to repeat the feat.

Harry Kane – 30 Premier League goals last season

Speaking of one season wonders, it’s been another brilliant year for Kane, hasn’t it?

He missed out on his third-consecutive Premier League Golden Boot by just two goals from Salah, but will probably be happy with his World Cup Golden Boot as a consolation prize.

England’s skipper netted six times in Russia as he lead the Three Lions all the way to the semi-finals, and as a result will once again be Dream Team’s most expensive player (sharing the mantle with Salah).

But will you pick him from the start of the season?

He’ll no doubt be knackered from his World Cup run-out, and will seemingly return to training with Spurs just a week before their first game of the season.

What’s more, there’s Kane’s early-season hoodoo to think about, with the striker infamously bad during the month of August.

Sergio Aguero – 21 Premier League goals last season

With 30 goals in all competitions last season, Aguero enjoyed another prolific campaign under Pep Guardiola.

And it could’ve been even better if his season hadn’t been cut-short through injury, as he missed Man City’s final 11 games.

Even so, he finished up as the best-rated player in the Premier League according to WhoScored, beating the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Salah to the top spot with a 7.81 rating.

Not only that, but he netted twice at the World Cup in Argentina’s ill-fated campaign, so will no doubt be the intriguing mix of fired up and fairly well-rested for the new season.

He’s also in the prime of his career at the moment, turning 30 over the summer, and will surely be City’s main man up front.
