Well that’s the League Cup third round action done and dusted.
After Liverpool were knocked out last night, their Premier League title rivals made sure they wouldn’t suffer the same fate by all making it through reasonably comfortably.

Chelsea were the biggest winners of the night, battering Nottingham Forest 5-1 which featured a hat-trick for Michy Batshuayi and an emotional debut goal for Charly Musonda.
Manchester United were just as prolific despite resting the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Marcus Rashford scored twice while Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial scored the others as they dispatched Championship side Burton 4-1.
For Arsenal and Manchester City it was much tighter affairs, with Theo Walcott grabbing the only goal for the former in a nervy 1-0 win over Doncaster.
City had Leroy Sane to thank for his brace in a 2-1 win over West Brom, which was marred by an injury to midfielder Ilkay Gundogan on his first start in over nine months.
The Germany star had only just returned from a horrible knee injury, but limped off after taking a nasty whack to his ankle at The Hawthorns.
Fingers crossed it’s nothing serious…
