It’s the end of another manic fantasy football Game Week and the season is starting to take some kind of shape.
As well as the standard Premier League fixtures last weekend, we were spoiled by a bumper mid-week League Cup schedule and Liverpool’s brilliant Champions League qualifying win.
That’s a lot of points up for grabs.
So, without further ado, it’s time to recognise and hail a man responsible for a whopping 20 of those points in Game Week 2.
Our bargain of the week is none other than… Joe Allen.

The Stoke midfielder might have failed to get any points in Stoke’s 1-0 win over Arsenal on Saturday, but in the Carabao Cup he was instrumental.
Allen scored twice and picked up that crucial Star Man award as the Potters dispatched Rochdale 4-0 to reach the third round on Wednesday night.
And at just £2m on Dream Team, the Welsh midfielder could be a real steal this season.
You’ve got the tools required to pick a superstar Dream Team, but Homebase is the place for you pick up the tools you need to get the job done at the lowest prices…
That’s cheaper than the likes of Nemanja Matic (£3m) and Yohan Cabaye (£3m) while offering far more of a goal threat.
Allen was one of Stoke’s better players in his debut campaign last term after leaving Liverpool.
‘Wee Joe’ emerged as a crucial asset for Mark Hughes this season, with his departure from Anfield allowing him to express himself further up the field.
Allen scored six times for Stoke last season and at one stage bagged five goals in four games for club and country.
And after two against Rochdale, he’s well on course to match or surpass that tally.
Could he be the cure to your fantasy football woes?
