Admit it, unless you’re a keen West Brom fan, you probably haven’t heard of Ahmed Hegazi.
That is until now, as the Baggies defender has had a blistering start to his career at the Hawthorns – and his Dream Team points back it up.

The Egyptian centre-back was an unknown quantity when he arrived at West Brom on loan from Cairo club Al Ahly.
But his performances in the first two games of the Premier League season has seen him become the highest points scorer on Dream Team so far this campaign.
The 6’4″ defender scored the only goal of the game, kept a clean sheet and picked up the Star Man award in the Baggies opening day victory against Bournemouth last week.
And he continued his hot form with another clean sheet and a consecutive Star Man award in his side’s 1-0 home win over Bournemouth on Saturday.
His performances has seen him score a whopping 31 points in total, averaging 15.5 points per game.
What can Ahmed Hegazi bring to your Dream Team?

- Only £1.5m (correct at time of print)
- 31 points in opening two games
- West Brom yet to concede this season
Hegazi has already received plaudits this season for his seamless transition into Premier League life, with team-mate Matt Phillips calling him a ‘brick wall’.
The great news for the lucky 3.8% who have him in their teams is that the Baggies play League Two side Accrington Stanley in the League Cup on Tuesday, so he could be in line to pick up big points once again.

The bad news for the rest of us is that as he’s already played this Game Week, we’ll have to wait until the next Game Week to start (on Friday) to see the fruits of our inevitable transfer.
And before you accuse us of getting carried away, remember, people already think Manchester United have already won the Premier League.
