If you haven’t got at least a first draft of your Dream Team fantasy football team then you’re playing a risky game.
This season the first fixture is on a Friday night and that has the potential to catch a lot of people out.
Avoid the last-minute scramble by getting your team in now.
The Friday night game in question is Arsenal v Leicester and it’s likely to feature a criminally underpicked playmaker.
So far Mesut Ozil has only been selected by 7.5% of managers.
Which means if you get him you could hoard points while others miss out.
Arsenal’s German midfielder broke the 200 point barrier in Dream Team fantasy football last season, putting him in the same bracket as the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Dele Alli and Paul Pogba.
Those three midfielders are extremely popular choices in this season’s game – De Bruyne (21.2%), Alli (30.2%), Pogba (30.4%).
NOT PICKED YOUR FANTASY FOOTBALL TEAM YET? WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?
So why is Ozil much less popular?
After rumours of an exit from the Emirates, he now seems set for at least another year with the Gunners.
Last season was his most prosperous campaign for Arsenal in terms of goals.
The German international scored 13 goals in all competitions, four of which came in the Champions League.
This year, Ozil will be one of the most high-profile players in the Europa League and Arsenal will be among the favourites to lift the trophy.
Last season. Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan racked up plenty of fantasy football points bullying weaker opposition in the Europa League.
Ozil could do something very similar and chances are you’re currently set to miss out.
Nine assists, four Star Man awards and an average rating of 7.3 in the Premier League meant Ozil was a shrewd option last term, even if he appeared to struggle for form at times.
The simple fact is that Ozil is a player suited to fantasy football.
He orchestrates Arsenal’s attacks, rarely picks up suspensions, takes set-pieces, and is a guaranteed starter when fit.

A quick glance at Arsenal’s fixtures should encourage you to pick Ozil as well.
The 28-year-old has often been criticised for going missing in big games but he often cashes in against weaker opponents.
Aside from Liverpool away in late August, Arsene Wenger will be confident of wins in all his other fixtures up until November.
