This could be an almighty coup for Chelsea with Sandro considered one of the finest full-backs in the world right now, having enjoyed plenty of success at Juventus and his previous club Porto.

The 26-year-old was a key member of the Juve side that stormed to a sixth consecutive Scudetto last season and reached the Champions League final.

As you’d expect, the Old Lady are keen to keep hold of the left wing-back, having already seen Dani Alves leave the club last month.

Sandro has reportedly held showdown talks with the Turin-outfit in a bid to accelerate his move to London, with French giants Paris Saint-Germain are interested.

PSG are thought to be Chelsea’s main rivals for the defender, but the full-back is leaning towards a move to the Premier League champions.

The Blues could even use Marcos Alonso as part of an exchange deal.

What could this mean for your fantasy football team?

If Chelsea do manage to secure Sandro, then we reckon he’ll be an extremely popular choice on Dream Team this season.

As well as being an adept defender, Sandro is also pretty handy going forward – which is probably what you’d expect from a South American full-back.

Looking back at Sandro’s season using WhoScored, Dream Team’s rating system provider, the Brazilian received an overall rating of 7.52 – with his 7.63 rating in Serie A particularly eye-catching.

In fact, Sandro was the fifth highest rated player in the Italian top-flight last season – and the highest for Juventus.

To give that some context, he outscored his teammate Alves (7.28) as well as Chelsea’s Victor Moses (7.45) and Marcos Alonso (7.39) in the Premier League.

So, fancy having Sandro in your Dream Team this season?

Looking back at the initial values of other highly-rated fullbacks such as Nathaniel Clyne (4.5m) and Danny Rose (£4.0m) last season, we reckon he’ll be priced around the same region.

He’ll be more than worth it though.

When can I sign up?

You can start getting your teams in as early as July 7 2017 – some five weeks before the Premier League season gets underway.

That gives you a nice long time to monitor the transfer market and choose your team accordingly – with Chelsea set to make more new signings as the summer goes on.
