Football fans on Twitter have crowned Liverpool Premier League champions 2019-20.
The news came after Man City lost at home to Wolves, leaving them eight points behind the Reds with just 30 games to play.
It is Liverpool’s first Premier League title for 30 years and a brilliant achievement after winning the Champions League just a few months ago.
Unofficial official Liverpool fan account holder Lee Satchell said Liverpool can relax now they have finally broken their league dry patch by opening an eight point gap in October.
“Trust me, this league is over. I am crowning our boys champions. We have never, and I mean never, thrown away a big points lead in the Premier League,” Satchell said.
“City losing at home is an absolute disaster for them, they’ve let the league slip through their fingers hahahahaha. You can’t just throw money at the league if you can’t beat Wolves at home, can you?”
While there was no official trophy ceremony, according to Liverpool fans on Twitter the league is won already.
And Satchell has already started a campaign for the L of Liverpool to be inscribed on the Premier League trophy.
“I just knew Jurgen Klopp would turn us into champions. I don’t care what the table says in May, we have already won the league in my eyes.”
