Harry Maguire’s head has officially been recognised as the eighth wonder of the world.
The England centre back’s massive, beautiful cranium has joined the likes of the Egyptian Pyramids and the Colossus of Rhodes on the world famous list.
The news came after Maguire – who has been one of the standout performers at the World Cup – thumped a magnificent header to put England 1-0 up against Sweden in their quarter-final.
The Sheffield boy has threatened from set pieces all tournament and finally got his goal after meeting Ashley Young’s corner in the first half.
“We thought it was about time after that goal,” Lee Satchell, an unofficial archaeological correspondent, told us.
“I mean just look at the size of it, I heard a rumour it was actually behind the last solar eclipse.
“Not only is it big, it’s also beautiful.
“We fully anticipate Maguire’s head will become a popular tourist spot now after all the exposure in Russia.
“I can’t wait to visit it and take pictures in front of it later this year.”
