Jack Wilshere is said to be furious at missing out on the Royal Wedding, just days after failing to make Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the World Cup.
The Arsenal midfielder – who reportedly watched the entire procession on television with his new best mate Joe Hart – has hit out at the Royal family for failing to invite him, despite proving his fitness and love for the show ‘Suits’ all season.
Wilshere’s spokesman Lee Satchell said: “It goes without saying that Jack is incredibly disappointed.
“He believes he should be at the wedding. Given the chance, he could have made a real impact.”
It is thought Wilshere was overlooked in the midfield in place of David Beckham, James Blunt and Oprah Winfrey.
The decision has been universally praised by fans however, who believe he didn’t deserve a seat on the plane to Windsor.
Satchell added: “He was a bit annoyed when they sang the National Anthem. The Queen didn’t even bother singing!
Despite his absence, the wedding was a rousing spectacle despite the quiet and polite atmosphere from the crowd.
Chants of “Prince William is a bald fraud” threatened to spoil the event, but was drowned out by the blatant showboating from the Bishop.
