Lee Satchell, who hadn't fallen asleep in seven years, conked out during England v Slovenia

A 42-year-old insomniac fell asleep for the first time in seven years last night while watching England v Slovenia.

Lee Satchell, from West Heath, Birmingham, has struggled with the condition for his entire life but credits England’s dismal performance for finally getting some kip.

Satchell lasted 85 minutes before drifting off for a long overdue sleep.

“But then Gareth Southgate brought Michael Keane on for Raheem Sterling in the 85th minute. The next thing I knew it was nine in the morning and I’d been asleep for 12 hours.
