Celtic have been named the Scottish League Champions for 2017/18.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have also been handed the Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup, just two games into the domestic season.
The decision has been taken after Celtic won their opening game of the Scottish League season 5-0 and followed that up with a 4-1 win against Hearts in the Scottish League Cup.
Unofficial source on Scottish football Lee Satchell said: “There’s no point wasting everyone’s time.
“Let’s be honest, Celtic are going to win the Scottish League by December anyway, so we’ve taken the decision to bring that forward by four months.
“We were really hoping they’d sell Moussa Dembele and that would buy all the other teams a bit of time, but that doesn’t look to be the case.
“Now they’re saying Patrick Roberts is coming back, so it’s going to be even more one sided.
“No one wants to see Celtic go all the way to Partick Thistle, just for Kieran Tierney to score a hat-trick from left-back.
“Who wants to see Dembele score six against Annan Athletic in the cup? Not us.
“So we’ve taken the decision to save everyone the time and money.
“We’ll start again in 2019. Hopefully Scott Brown will have retired by then and everyone won’t be so scared to face Celtic.”
