Seventy-five thousand Black Eyed Peas fans were forced to watch an entire game of football after turning up to see the band play in Cardiff.
The trio, no longer playing with
Sir Alex Fergie, performed their smash hits, including ‘I got a feeling’ in front of a raucous crowd.
But after just four songs they were rushed off the stage, with 22 men coming out to play football, much to the bemusement of the crowd.
Concert goer Lee Satchell complained: “I’ve been waiting for years for the Black Eyed Peas to get back together.
“Sure, I couldn’t name any of the band members aside from Will.i.am, but that doesn’t make me a plastic fan.
“Any way, we’d only just got over the disappointment of finding out that Fergie wasn’t going to be there.
“We turned up nice and early, so we could settle in and really take in the atmosphere.
“I was a bit confused about why there were so many Italian and Spanish lads around, but Black Eyed Peas are one of the best bands around so I didn’t think much of it.
“They start belting out the songs. Honestly, it was incredible. I got a feeling, dooo, doooo. All of that stuff.
“But after four songs, just as they were warming up and the auto-tune was really kicking in, they got booted off the stage and all these footballers came out.
“Apparently it was some thing called the Champagne League final. I was furious.
“We tried to leave but they made us sit down and watch the entire game. I’ll definitely be looking for a refund.”
