Martin Tyler is set to name his next child after Man United forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Sky Sports commentator, who is of course completely unbiased, has claimed that he simply ‘likes the name’ and his decision has nothing to do with the Swedish international’s late equaliser against Liverpool.
Tyler just about managed to hold back an orgasm as Ibrahimovic headed home at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Although he did describe the target man as ‘The Tower of Power’ in the immediate aftermath.
Lee Satchell, a close friend of Tyler, said: “He’s got his heart set on the name Zlatan.
“It doesn’t matter whether it’s a boy or a girl. Everyone always says he supports United but it’s not true. Just because he’s got Fergie sheets, a framed poster of Paul Scholes above his bed and a tattoo of Eric Cantona on his back, doesn’t mean he supports United.”
Tyler’s wife is due to give birth to baby Zlatan on February 22nd but Tyler himself won’t be present as he couldn’t possibly miss United’s Europa League round of 32 second leg against Saint Etienne.
He already has three other children named Cristiano, Wayne and Ole Gunnar.
