Antoine Griezmann’s penalty for Atletico Madrid against Real Madrid should NOT have counted

Frenchman wheeled away in celebration after Keylor Navas was unable to save the ball despite getting a hand to it

Antoine Griezmann’s penalty to double Atletico Madrid’s lead against Real Madrid in the Champions League semi final should not have stood.

Frenchman’s standing leg connected with the ball as he struck it past Keylor Navas, who got a hand to it.

Diego Simeone’s side blew Los Blancos away early on at the Vicente Calderon as they trailed their rivals by three goals on aggregate before kick off.

They took the lead on 12 minutes through Saul Niguez before Griezmann doubled their lead from the spot four minutes later.
