Bournemouth make approach to sign Chelsea captain John Terry
Well this is an interesting one.
Bournemouth have made a bold enquiry to sign Chelsea captain John Terry on loan this month, according to Sky Sports.
The Cherries are reeling after the Blues recalled Nathan Ake from his loan deal on the south coast over the weekend.
Ake had become an integral part of Eddie Howe’s side, scoring three goals from centre-back and turning in some impressive displays in his short spell.
So is this a little sweetener from Chelsea after Ake returned to his parent club?
Or are Bournemouth just a bit cheesed off about the situation and trying to test the Premier League leaders’ resolve?
Terry has barely featured this season after suffering a thigh injury in September, particularly with Chelsea’s other defenders excelling in his absence.
He was also sent off on his return to the first team in their FA Cup third round win over Peterborough at the weekend.
