Arsenal draw Bayern Munich in 2018 Champions League round of 16
Arsenal have already drawn Bayern Munich in the Champions League round of 16 for next year’s competition.
Following the Gunners’ humiliating 5-1 defeat in Munich last night, UEFA decided to host a special one-off draw for the 2018 campaign.
The draw featured just two teams and was conducted in UEFA headquarters to a chorus of uncontrollable laughter.
UEFA official Lee Satchell said: “We just couldn’t help ourselves. Once Thomas Muller stuck that fifth goal in we started organising an impromptu draw.
“It was hilarious. Just two balls, one labelled Arsenal and one labelled Bayern Munich. It took as ages to do actually because nobody could stop giggling long enough to pull the balls out.
“Anyway, long story short, it’s all going to happen again next year. Brilliant, isn’t it?”
In other news one North Londoner was sectioned after declaring without any hint of sarcasm that Arsenal could ‘turn it around’ in the second leg.
His family and friends are said to be deeply concerned about his condition.
