Arsenal endured yet another afternoon to forget at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Chelsea’s 3-1 win inflicted the Gunners fifth consecutive Premier League defeat at their London rivals.
Mesut Ozil was again anonymous throughout the 90 minutes with the perception of him going missing in the bigger games gathering further pace.
But at least the German playmaker showed some evidence of passion at the final whistle.
Looking unsurprisingly despondent, Ozil appears to scream after a number of his team-mates – including Alexis Sanchez – for not going over to the away support to apologise:
If as it seems, Ozil’s clearly learned from when Per Mertesacker gave him the same angry treatment for doing something similar a few years ago.
Arsenal are now 12 points adrift of Chelsea and face very different cup challenges against Bayern Munich in the Champions League and Sutton in the FA Cup later this month.
