Everywhere you look modern legends are hanging up their boots.
Miroslav Klose hasn’t confirmed his future but the 37-year-old will definitely be playing his final game for Lazio tomorrow.
And to thank ‘Miro’ Lazio are hosting Klose Day, accompanied by a one-off kit.
When Klose does call it a day he can look back on a career spent poaching goals wherever he was.
The former Germany international is the all-time record World Cup goalscorer, winning the tournament’s Golden Shoe in 2006, and was the Bundesliga’s top goalscorer in 2006.
He’s spent five seasons in Italy with Lazio after leaving Bayern Munich, scoring 62 goals in all competitions.
If Lazio really want to pay homage to Klose they can do what Schalke did with Raul and retire the striker’s number.
We’re going to miss that amateur acrobatic celebration of his when he goes.
