Pep Guardiola is confused.
We’re over halfway through the Premier League season and Man City have yet to play Osasuna, Stuttgart, or any other Spanish/German minnows.
City coach Lee Satchell revealed the extent of the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager’s distress: “Pep doesn’t get it. He’s convinced we should have played Granada and Hannover at least twice each by now.
“I tried to tell him that there are far fewer easy games in in the Premier League but he’s not having any of it.
“He said his tactics for the whole season were based on being able to beat the bottom ten teams 5-0 without breaking a sweat.
“I said that doesn’t happen in England and he just flipped. Not as bad as the time he found out there are more than two teams capable of winning the league. That was a horrible day.”
Having suffered his heaviest ever league defeat at the hands of 7th placed Everton, Guardiola must now prepare his side for next week’s game against in-form Spurs.
Although rumours are he plans to spend the week preparing his CV and application for the PSG job…
