The world of football is still coming down after Barcelona induced uninhibited delirium in fans across the globe.
The chief architect of PSG’s downfall was Neymar.
Barcelona’s No11 scored a breathtaking free-kick, a penalty and provided a glorious assist for Sergi Roberto’s dramatic winner all in the space of a few frantic minutes.
Since then a fresh wave of praise has been heaped upon the Brazilian superstar with many reaffirming the thought that Neymar is the heir to Lionel Messi’s throne as the best player in the world.
Kaka included, and the 2007 Ballon d’Or winner knows a thing or two about being the best in the world.
The former Milan midfielder told Record TV: “With everything that he’s done at Barcelona, Neymar could well be next in line to be the best player in the world.”
Kaka had a suggestion for his fellow countryman if he wanted to secure his destiny: “But I think if he changed his name to ‘Reymar’, he’d have an even better chance.
“All the successful Brazilians begin with the letter ‘R’.”
A tongue-in-cheek reference from Kaka to Brazil’s recent history of star players: Romario, Ronaldo, Rivaldo and Ronaldinho.
