The transfer window has barely been open for a day but we’ve already seen Bournemouth and Watford fighting it out to sign ‘the next Lionel Messi‘ from Serie A giants Roma.
Now Crystal Palace are getting involved in the Italian Job by trying to pinch Juventus midfielder Stefano Sturaro, according to The Mirror.
If the name sounds familiar it’s because Sturaro filled in for Paul Pogba as Juve beat Real Madrid in the semi-final of last season’s Champions League.
This season Sturaro has been used more sparingly, with the addition of Sami Khedira meaning first-team chances have been limited.
Alan Pardew, who has already pulled of a coup with the signing of Yohan Cabaye, can sniff out another bargain although, as of yet, Juve have been unwilling to either sell or loan the 22-year-old.
But, when Pardiola is involved, nothing can be ruled out.
