Claudio Ranieri is not a man who takes life too seriously judging by his comments throughout the season.
He’s having a whale of a time as Leicester lead the Premier League title race by five points with just seven games of the season remaining.
But he’s refusing to back his team to see the job through, while also denying he’s set to take over the Italy job from Antonio Conte in the summer.
When asked about Leicester’s chances of clinching the Premier League title on Italian TV, Ranieri stated that he’s got his sights on a slightly lower prize.
No, no, no we will not win the title. We are fighting for Europe, that’s all.Ranieri (Italia Uno)
Leicester fans will be happy to hear Ranieri was given a present to ward off any bad luck while on the show, meaning The Foxes are a shoe in now.
Their next game takes place on April 3, when they welcome Southampton to the King Power stadium.
Most of the football world, minus Spurs fans, will be hoping Ranieri’s ‘European push’ won’t hit any buffers.
