Wayne Rooney looks to be on his way out of Manchester United.
The Red Devils forward was dropped earlier this season – for both club and country – after his form spiralled downwards.
A host of clubs from the MLS, along with China, have been linked with the Three Lions striker.
But the former Everton star has ALREADY turned down a move away from Old Trafford.
The 31-year-old’s agent, Paul Stretford, held talks with Chinese side Beijing Guoan, according to the club’s honorary chairman.
Speaking to a Beijing radio station, Luo Ning said: “We indeed made an approach for Wayne Rooney at the beginning of the season but he’s informed us that he wants to stay at Manchester United.
“Rooney says he’ll keep playing in the Premier League as long as his health allows.
“We even met with his agent.”
Jose Mourinho appears to be preparing for life without Rooney at Old Trafford – and will allow the hitman to leave the club if a deal can be done.
According to reports earlier this season, the Portuguese is keen on France’s Euro 2016 star Antoine Greizmann – who dropped a massive ‘come-and-get-me-plea’ yesterday.
The Atletico Madrid man claimed he wanted to link with international team-mate Paul Pogba in the future.
Looks like the big spending at Manchester United isn’t coming to an end anytime soon.
