Chelsea had to cancel a transfer for promising England youngster Nya Kirby after Tottenham threatened to report the club to the Premier League for trying to tap him up.
It’s thought the 16-year-old central midfielder was keen on joining Stamford Bridge but Spurs believe he was approached illegally.
Reports claim Kirby rejected Spurs’ offer of a youth team scholarship, opting to take up a similar deal with Chelsea.

But Chelsea backed off the deal, narrowly avoiding a potential rap.
Kirby was subsequently let go by Spurs and spent time on trial with Arsenal before signing for Crystal Palace earlier this month.
A fee between Palace and Spurs for the player is yet to be agreed.
