Basketball star Luol Deng wants to buy a Premier League football club.
Crystal Palace to be precise.
The LA Lakers player grew up just minutes walk away from Selhurst Park and used to watch games from atop a hill from which he could see some of the pitch through a gap in the stadium.
Despite this, Deng is actually an Arsenal fan but when it comes to a potential takeover, it’s his old local club he has his eye on.
“I’ve always said that if I become a billionaire I’m buying Crystal Palace,” he said.
“It’s a dream of mine.”
Hang on, that’s quite a big caveat, mate.
We’d all buy Premier League clubs if we were billionaires.
Although two-time NBA All-Stars probably have a greater chance of getting there than most of us.
6ft 9in Deng represented Team GB at the London 2012 Olympics and started his basketball career with the Brixton Topcats before moving to America.
