How did Spurs lose to this lot?
Not only are Gent currently 8th in the Belgian First Division, but their shirt numbers are a travesty.
Look at the state of them…
Not a single-digit shirt in sight.
We know they fielded an under-strength side last night (which makes Spurs’ loss even more embarrassing/hilarious, depending on who you support) but there’s no excuse for front three made up of numbers 27, 24 and 77.
We know shirt numbers don’t really matter that much in the grand scheme of things but these details provide the charm (or lack thereof) of football.
Congratulations on the win, Gent.
Just don’t turn up to Wembley with those numbers…
