Here’s why you need to be playing Marcelo up front on FIFA 17

Marcelo is arguably the best left back in the world – but on FIFA, the Real Madrid star is handy in another position too.

YouTuber Hitman89 tested out a Team of the Year Marcelo up front in FIFA Ultimate Team – with incredible results.

His 90 pace combined with 94 dribbling allowed him to run rings around defenders – more than making up for his lower shooting stats.

Although his Team of the Year card is a much higher rated than his standard gold version, the latter – when you look at the stats – could prove almost as useful up front.

In fact, he becomes one of the most balanced strikers in the game.

Here’s why.

For one, his sprint speed is 80, which makes him faster than Chelsea sharpshooter Diego Costa – and he’s not too shabby, is he?

While he’s not too clinical in front of goal, a shot power of 83 is more than Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann.

Passing is on point, too – with his crossing score of 87 some 10 points higher than Lionel Messi’s score and three points more than Cristiano Ronaldo.

This makes him a real threat down the flanks – especially when teamed up with a taller second striker.

Dribbling is arguably the 28-year-old’s best attribute – with his 87 ball control score beating Grizemann’s score by one point.

Unlike other strikers, who struggle with defence, Marcelo’s a brilliant tackler – making him perfect for those who want to close down play early.

There you have it.

If you’re lacking a striker but have Marcelo in your team, this simple switch could change your life.
