Here’s how to play the stunning Ghost Recon: Wildlands FREE this week

Ghost Recon: Wildlands is a couple of weeks away – but you won’t need to wait that long to play it.

Ubisoft is launching an open beta on Thursday, February 23 that runs until Monday, February 27.

And the good news is that you don’t need to sign up or register – you can just jump straight in.

Although the beta starts in a couple of days, you can download the file right now.

It’s about 24GB on all platforms – and if you were part of the closed beta last month, there’s a 19GB update you’ll need to download.

The open beta includes two regions from the game – Itacua, the main area in the closed beta as well as a new one called Montuyoc.

Oh, and if you complete the beta and buy the game before March 31, you’ll get a free mission in the full game called ‘Unidad Conspiracy’.

This sees you try and spark a war between the corrupt militia group Unidad and the Santa Blanca cartel.

Sounds awesome.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands launches on March 7.
