Another Arsenal favourite could be on his way to Man City
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola wants to strengthen his midfield, as he chases domestic and European dominance over the next few seasons.
But he might need to strengthen the depth of the Man City physios too, as he’s seriously considering a move for Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere.
The injury-prone midfielder – who’s currently on loan at Bournemouth – has been a long-term target for Pep Guardiola, going back to his days at Barcelona.
The Spanish manager has repeatedly made contact with Arsenal, asking to be kept informed about Wilshere’s future plans.
The 25-year-old impressed Guardiola with his performance for the Gunners against Barcelona in the Champions League in 2011.
But Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has urged the academy graduate to stay loyal to the London club, despite loaning him out this season.
Wenger is desperate to avoid losing another star to their northern rivals, having seen Gael Clichy, Bacary Sagna, Samir Nasri, Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Adebayor leave for the Etihad in recent years.
The England midfielder is set to return to the Emirates Stadium when his loan spell with Bournemouth is over, but his future beyond then is unclear.

Everton have also been linked with the hard-tackling midfielder in recent weeks, as manager Ronald Koeman looks to add quality to his ranks.
